Black and white nude: Ideal women by Marco Glaviano
This master of photography captured the most exquisite beauties of the XX century in eternity. His highly artistic black-and-white photographs adorned the best fashion publications and appeared on more than 500 covers of reputable glossy magazines.
In the pictures of the legendary Italian, the girls will never look away. They are passionate, confident and infinitely beautiful. After all, they are supermodels. And it was Marco Glaviano who had a hand in this. The phenomenon of the supermodel appeared in the 70s and 80s with his active participation. He shot Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Paulina Porizkova, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Joan Severance, Christy Tarlington, Eva Herzigova and many others.
Marco Glaviano - a genius in the field of photography - was born in the south of Italy, in the city of Palermo. There he graduated from the architectural faculty of a local university, worked for a while as a theater decorator and even played in a jazz orchestra. However, the interest in photographs still prevailed.
"I was given a camera when I was five, and I started taking pictures of my beautiful sister," recalls Marko.
Since 1967, Marco Glaviano worked as a fashion photographer for leading Italian magazines, and in 1975 moved to New York, where he became a staff photographer for American Vogue magazine, and later for Harper's Bazaar.
His work has often appeared in other American and European magazines such as Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Glamour and Vanity Fair. Marko has shot more than 500 covers and editorials for these publications.
Interesting fact: The first digital photo published in an American fashion magazine was a photo by Marco Glaviano for Vogue in 1982.
Subsequently, he will be credited with creating such a phenomenon as a "supermodel" — and no wonder, because it was his photographs of Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks and many other modern stars that allowed them to wake up famous one day.
Each photo of Marco Glaviano conveys not only a beautiful visual picture, but also a well-constructed plot.
