The Geelong Cup is an annual race over a distance of 2400 meters. The races are held in Melbourne and are open to horses of all ages and any gender. The Geelong Cup has been held since 1872 and gathers 15-20 thousand spectators every time.
This year, glamorous horse racing regulars proudly showed off all kinds of outfits of various colors, styles and degrees of nudity. It seems that for some guests such an exciting event was beyond their strength — paramedics helped one woman who fell (although there were many who could not cope with gravity), and also checked the blood alcohol level of the audience before allowing them to drive.
This is not the first time we have seen a photo report of such a supposedly secular event as horse racing. And not for the first time we wonder why people go there: to watch and cheer or to show off in front of each other and find out who can drink more? Judging by the photos, the latter assumption is probably true.
