A drunk Estonian was walking to a hotel in the Alps, but instead climbed 2,400 meters uphill and fell asleep in a bar
A drunk tourist in the Alps did not have an autopilot, and instead of the hotel he "walked" down the ski slope and fell asleep in the bar while the rescue team was looking for him.
Source: IndependentAn Estonian tourist named Pavel got lost in the mountainous Italian resort of Cervinia. Complicating the situation was the fact that Pavel was pretty drunk. The man thought he was heading for the hotel, but in fact went on a ski run up the mountain. The drunk tourist was not even confused by the fact that the slope was getting steeper.
Between two and three o'clock in the morning, Pavel had already managed to climb to a height of 2,400 meters and noticed the Igloo bar, which is 400 meters above the hotel. Armed only with his room key, Pavel made his way into the establishment and stayed there overnight.
At this time, a group had already gone in search of Pavel: the fire brigade, the police and drones. And in the morning the man was found by the bar staff: Pavel drank two bottles of water and fell asleep safely at the counter. The police said that the man would be fined for a night walk.
