Scientists have found that vegetarians outlive heavier hangover
An old tradition to eat alcohol, kebabs, sausages and other meat products obviously there for a reason. Our ancestors, having a good selection of pickles and marinades, all gave the preference to meat. The feasibility of such snacks was recently confirmed by official science, after deep and comprehensive research.
Journal of clinical medicine, published in the Netherlands, published a report of doctors who decided to find out who carries heavier hangover — vegans and vegetarians or meat-lovers. It turned out that those who reject meat dishes, "the next morning" is much harder.
Scientific work was conducted in an interesting method. Scientists have created two groups of vegetarians and meat eaters, and then invited them to drink as much as you want. In the morning when the participants of the experiment came the hangover, they comprehensively investigated and compared complaint.
It was determined 23 main symptoms, among which is to be expected turned out to be nausea, vomiting, dizziness, sweating, thirst, palpitations. While fans of carrot cutlets and vegetable stew looked more distressed and complained louder. I was especially exasperated vegetarians vomiting, which has become the most common and most painful consequence of the drink-offering to all members of the group.
This feature requires a scientific justification and Dutch doctors immediately found. After manipulation of gastric juices and urine and blood samples, the researchers found that severe hangover vegetarians is associated with low levels of Niacin (vitamin B) and zinc in their emaciated with spinach organisms. It is known that among the food most rich in zinc are meat, shellfish and legumes. As for vitamin B3, its sources in human diet in the first place, are meat, poultry, and fish. In addition, nicotinic acid is in whole grain products, peanuts, avocados and mushrooms.
So if a vegan is going to a party where there will be a lot of alcohol, it in order to avoid negative consequences, will have to ease up on the mushrooms and nuts. But doctors were quick to reassure fans of plant foods that the tendency towards heavy alcohol withdrawal syndrome affects not only the content of vitamin B3, but also other factors such as, heredity, mixing beverages or the wrong choice of dishes at the table.
With regard to combating a hangover, the scientists from the Netherlands to this question has not yet reached his hands. However, if you do not take into account common people the method of "fight fire with fire" to help to improve their health the most common products used wisely.
