By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/we-havent-seen-this-before-indian-pin-up.htmlCanadian artist of Indian origin Nimisha Bhanot has created an incredible series of drawings in the pin-up style: Indian women became the heroines, which in itself is an unprecedented phenomenon.
Nimisha came up with the idea of creating this series in 2012, when she was studying at art school. Her women are confident in themselves and their sexuality, they have a bold look, while in Indian society women should not object to the interlocutor and look directly at him, this is sharply condemned.
The artist made a whole series of pin-up drawings, the main meaning of which is to resist the prevailing opinion about many Indian women as housewives. Most of the works of Nimisha Bhanot are posted on his Instagram account.
