The shooting took place near Lake Eppalock near the city of Bendigo in Victoria, Australia. This area has a rather sad history: it has long been inhabited by tribes called cha-cha-wurrung, who were simply swept away from their land by gold prospectors who found gold here and founded Bendigo.
