The Stellar Whirlpool
Categories: Space
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/the-stellar-whirlpool.htmlAustralian photographer Lincoln Harrison captured the movement of the stars in the night sky, using a long shutter speed (up to 15 hours). The shooting took place near Lake Eppalock near the city of Bendigo in Victoria, Australia. This area has a rather sad history: it has long been inhabited by tribes called cha-cha-wurrung, who were simply swept away from their land by gold prospectors who found gold here and founded Bendigo.
