The US Central Intelligence Agency has fired a sniffer dog named Lulu for losing interest in work. The management explained this decision by saying that it is not necessary to force the dog to do what she does not like.

The official announcement of the dismissal of Labrador Lulu appeared on the CIA website. It notes that each of the dogs during the training course may show signs of fatigue or unwillingness to work, but this usually lasts no more than one or two days. A black labrador named Lulu, who was a "student" of the fall course for young sniffer dogs in 2017, had a protracted apathy, and she systematically refused to lift loads with explosive devices.

Dog handlers tried to interest the dog in food and games, but to no avail. Lulu stopped training, fearing for her physical and mental health.

Fortunately for Lulu, her trainer decided to take her to his home, where she lives in a new family with another Labrador named Harry. Now Lulu leads a normal dog life, playing with children and sniffing out rabbits and squirrels in the garden. "We will miss Lulu, but it's still the right decision. We wish her all the best in her new life," the ministry added.

This is not the first time a dog has been "retired." So, in February 2017, a book about a Belgian shepherd dog named Vidar was published. Vidar served in the British army for two years and was even at the front in Afghanistan. But suddenly the dog became afraid of shots, and he had to be suspended from service. And in Australia, a shepherd dog named Havel was fired from the police because of an overly friendly disposition.
