Many people like to treat themselves to fast food or other fatty foods. And some people eat like this for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Unfortunately, not every body can cope with such a load. Improper nutrition leads to the formation of stones that cause unbearable pain to lovers of delicious food.
So this resident of China could not curb her passion for eating unhealthy food. See what this has led to in our material.
Doctors in southwest China have removed more than two thousand gallstones from the gallbladder of a woman who complained of terrible pain.
The patient, surnamed Wang, went to the hospital in Guiyan, Guizhou Province with complaints of abdominal pain. Doctors found inside the swollen gallbladder a lot of stones knocked into a pile, ranging in size from a few millimeters to 0.8 centimeters in diameter.
Doctors say that the stones were formed from improper nutrition. The patient ate mainly fast food and fatty foods.
The attending physician Chen Yuanjun (Chen Yuanjun) says that, in addition, the woman regularly skipped breakfast and did not drink enough water.
The woman says that she thought she had a stomach disease, and drowned out the pain with potent drugs that she bought without a prescription. The doctors decided on an urgent operation to get the "valuable cargo" from the patient's stomach. Now Ms. Wang feels well and is recovering quickly.
It took the nurses more than an hour to count the number of stones
A few facts about gallstones: 1. Gallstones are formed when cholesterol and bilirubin calcium fall out in the gallbladder and ducts. 2. They can cause acute pain attacks when they close the bile duct. 3. About one in ten people over the age of 25 has stones, but does not know about it. 4. If people have inflammation of the gallbladder, as a consequence, pain and fever may occur. 5. The risk of stone formation is significantly higher in women, overweight people and over 40 years old. 6. Treatment is possible only by extracting stones. The gallbladder works as a reservoir in which bile is collected. It helps digest fat by storing cholesterol in a solvent liquid. However, if a lot of fat accumulates, cholesterol can come out of this liquid and form stones.
We are what we eat. You need to remember this every day and try to eat in order to live, and not to live in order to eat. Otherwise, you can turn into a pile of stones, literally.
