The photographers managed to capture the amazing moments of a quick change of outfits, rehearsals and the creation of impressive costumes decorated with hundreds of rhinestones, feathers and sequins. Up to 1,000 costumes are used in one show alone.
The cabaret gives two performances in an evening. The audience has up to 600,000 viewers who drink 250,000 bottles of champagne while enjoying a bright show.
The Moulin Rouge night cabaret received its first visitors in Paris at the foot of Montmartre on October 6, 1889. Over the long history of its existence, it has experienced many ups and downs, but continued to beat off the cancan, laughing in the face of the shocked audience.
