Luang Pho Pian is originally from Cambodia, but spent most of his life in Lopburi, a province of Thailand, where the monk's body was returned after his death. When his followers removed the body from the coffin that stood in the temple where Pian served, they were shocked at how well the body was preserved — as if death had occurred no more than 36 hours ago. The monks took out Pian's body to dress him in new, clean robes.
Surprisingly, there was a smile on the monk's face. Pian's followers filmed an incredible sight to share it on social networks. It is said that this state of the guru's body shows that he has reached nirvana.
The monk's followers will continue to pray for Luang Pho Phan until the funeral ceremony, which will take place on the hundredth day after his death.
