In the last week of August in the city of Bunyol, in eastern Spain, the annual Tomato Festival begins. The culmination of the holiday is the tomato battle of Tomatina!
This year, 22 thousand people took part in it, and for the second year the battle has been free for all participants. During the battle, 125 tons of overripe tomatoes are broken. Despite the huge expenses of 6 million dollars, the city more than pays for them at the expense of numerous tourists.
