Real estate in this city costs fabulous money and even its rent is shocking in prices. But recently, residents and guests of the metropolis have been able to rent a house at a very budget price. For a two-level apartment with furniture and appliances, they ask only 99 yen (65 rubles) per month.
If you expect a trick from this news, then you are doing the right thing. Apartments with a swimming pool and a terrace are not offered to rent for a penny, but housing with an area of only 10 sq. m. meters. Nevertheless, it is very difficult to find such a crumb in Tokyo even for $ 1,000. At the same time, the proposed apartments have everything you need for life, starting from a bed and a dressing room and ending with a bathroom.
The attraction of unheard-of generosity was arranged by the Japanese representative office of the Swedish company IKEA. The retail chain started this action not at all for reasons of altruism, but for advertising purposes. The company wants to show that micro-housing is not so bad if everything is thought out and furnished with goods from ... of course, IKEA!
And indeed, the designers of the company have worked hard. The small apartments turned out to be very cozy and comfortable. IKEA said that the main emphasis in the project was on the rational use of vertical space. The apartments even got a second tier, which occupies a sleeping place.
There is also a working area, because this is Japan, not some carefree Jamaica. For Japanese people inclined to minimalism and simplicity in everyday life, IKEA apartments are real palaces filled with excesses and luxury items.
The company's managers confirmed that no tricks and hidden payments are waiting for residents of mini-apartments. You can rent a living space for 2 years, and you only need to pay utility bills. The apartments are not located somewhere on the seedy outskirts, but in one of the central districts of Shinjuku.
In the commercial, budget housing is represented by the famous shark Flea, which has become a symbol of the Swedish network. To be able to rent an apartment for 65 rubles, you need to be a member of the IKEA Family club. But there is nothing to worry about, since you can join it for free by registering on the site.
