Usually, these are broadcasts during which the host eats a hearty meal and simultaneously communicates with the audience. Mukbang has its stars, among whom there are many outright freaks. One of them is the American Nikocado Avocado. This guy was quite popular, but then his ratings dropped. Now people are talking about him again and this is due to an amazing transformation. In 7 months, the blogger managed to lose 113 kg.
Nikocado Avocado's real name is Nicholas Perry. He was born in Ukraine, in the Kherson region, but was adopted by an American family in early childhood. It is known that Nicholas successfully played the violin as a child and showed great promise. But in 2014, the guy decided to become a blogger and started his own YouTube channel.
Nicholas chose a popular topic - raw food and veganism. And this was not an exploitation of a popular trend. Peri was actually a vegan. He actively participated in the life of the community of like-minded people, wrote thematic articles and filmed reports from festivals.
Perry took the nickname Nikocado Avocado in honor of his favorite fruit. During the broadcast, Nicholas could eat 19 avocados at once! Soon he met another blogger - Orlin. At first, the guys began to broadcast and film stories together, and then they even got married.
In 2015, the genre mukbang, which originated in South Korea, began to rapidly gain popularity. Its name comes from two Korean words meaning “food” and “broadcast.” Nikokado realized that this was a new niche that was generating a huge number of views. Gradually, his channel transformed from a vegan one into a mukbang one.
The blogger held strange challenges for vegans, such as "eating 4,000 calories at once." Because of this, he was shamefully expelled from the society of plant-based food lovers. Nikokado began to develop in a new direction. At first, he was cautious and ate vegan burgers in front of the camera. But then he went wild and began to consume everything he could.
In 2017, Nikokado completely disowned his past by filming a video called “Why Veganism Is Wrong and Drives People Crazy.” The way back was cut off and the blogger began to scold vegans and talk about the harm of their lifestyle. At the same time, he ate pizzas and burgers, steaks and sushi in front of the camera, washing them down with milkshakes and cola.
For a while, Nikokado Avocado was on top. But then interest in mukbang began to wane. The audience was more interested in scandalous videos and "fights". Nicholas quickly retrained and began filming stories about the difficult life with her husband Orlin, crying in front of the camera and asking for advice.
At the same time, the blogger couldn't give up mukbang, which had become a part of his life. He continued to eat in front of the camera, adding trashy elements to his videos. For example, Nikokado could cut his hair into an omelet with a machine and then smear it all over himself. The guy had a total of 6 channels, each more disgusting than the last. Nikokado Avocado himself had long since ceased to resemble a skinny, smiling guy with fruit.
His weight increased from 55 kg to 180. The blogger could no longer afford long walks and moved around in an electric chair. Nikokado's health deteriorated significantly and his videos began to include stories on medical topics.
For a long time, the guy didn't want to change anything. Of course, because mukbang, although it disfigured him, made him a millionaire. The blogger bragged about expensive cars and branded items, and then even bought a penthouse in Las Vegas. But it was obvious that mukbang was becoming a thing of the past, along with his health. And Nikokado Avocado took himself in hand and lost 113 kg! And it took him only 7 months.
He speaks about his transformation, which shocked many, as follows:
The blogger also told his subscribers that the last few years of his life were "the greatest social experiment" from which he decided to leave. Now Nikokado is looking for a new niche on YouTube to once again realize himself.
