But why is this trend named after fathers? It's simple. According to research, married men weigh on average 1.8 kg more than unmarried men. And women consider such guys to be ideal fathers for their children. There is a completely logical explanation for this.

Deadbods attract women who want to start a family because they are not self-centered. Such a man will not disappear for days in the gym. He will always find time to spend with his wife and child. Deadbod will happily organize a family trip to a pizzeria or a barbecue. On the way home from work, he will not forget to buy cakes or chocolate.

Surveys on why deadbods are so attractive, conducted among women of different ages, nationalities and professions, showed the expected result. Most fans of this type of men answered that deadbods are “cozy” and “comfortable”. Scientists claim that this is due to the fact that men with an athletic build are more aggressive due to high testosterone levels. Also, according to research from Psychology Today, athletes are more prone to cheating.

The suspiciousness that is typical for many women also plays a role. As is well known, representatives of the fair sex are often dissatisfied with their appearance. Because of this, they consider themselves unworthy of being with men of athletic build. But deadbods are the most ordinary people, with their flaws and weaknesses. With such a guy, you can undoubtedly share a pack of chips in the middle of the night and not expect judgment.

And men who exhaust themselves with diets and workouts are not as good in bed as is commonly believed.
