Art exists not only for the delight of the eyes. It is obliged to convey some idea, to provoke people to think. Austrian cartoonist Gerhard Haderer has been drawing satirical illustrations for 30 years that expose the problems of modern society as much as possible.

Haderer was born in 1951 in Austria and at the beginning of his career worked in advertising agencies. In 1985, after undergoing surgery to remove a tumor, he quit commercial illustration and became a freelance satirical artist. His works spared no one and nothing, and in 2005 a Greek court sentenced him to 6 months of probation for insulting the feelings of believers in the book of cartoons "The Life of Jesus". This did not frighten Haderer, and he continues to tell the unpleasant truth about humanity.
