Like any other Chechen, the politician had many relatives. What was the fate of the closest of them — the spouse and children?
Dzhokhar Dudaev's wife is a Russian woman, nee Alla Kulikova. She is the daughter of pilot, Air Force Major Fyodor Kulikov, a colleague of Dudaev. Dzhokhar and Alla got married in 1969 and the wife always supported her husband in everything. Over time, Alla Fyodorovna even converted to Islam.
After the death of her husband, Alla Dudaeva went to Nalchik, from where she tried to fly to Istanbul. But the Russian special services detained her and kept her under arrest for a month. The woman was released on the personal instructions of Russian President Boris Yeltsin. After that , the widow of the leader of Ichkeria returned to Chechnya and settled in Grozny. The woman worked in the Ministry of Culture of the unrecognized republic until 1999.
At the very beginning of the Second Chechen War, Alla Dudayeva went abroad with her children. The family changed several countries and lived in Baku (Azerbaijan), Istanbul (Turkey) and Vilnius (Lithuania). Dudayeva was repeatedly offered to return to her homeland under Putin, guaranteeing her safety.
Since 2004, Alla Dudayeva has the status of a stateless person. The woman repeatedly tried to get an Estonian passport, but she was refused every time. She chose this Baltic country because she lived there with her husband, a pilot, at the place of service. Having failed in Estonia, Dudaeva moved to Sweden. According to the latest data, she still lives in this country.
Alla Fedorovna is a famous poet and artist. She earns her creative work by participating in exhibitions and selling paintings and collections of poems. A well—known surname helps her to be visible - the widow of General Dudaev is often invited to various TV projects and interviewed by her. A woman has written a book about her husband, "Million One". Until 2012, she hosted the program "Caucasian Portrait" on the Georgian TV channel "First Informational Caucasian".
In an interview, Alla Dudayeva says that her family lives the life of ordinary Chechen refugees. She does not consider herself to be well-off people and says that she earns only a modest living. The woman is known for her criticism of the Russian government's policies, especially those concerning Chechnya.
The Dudaev family has three children: sons Avlur and Degi and daughter Dana. Avlur Dudayev left Chechnya even before his father was killed. He was seriously wounded in battles with federal troops and went to be treated in The Baltic States. There he stayed to live. In 2002, Avlur received Lithuanian citizenship, while changing his name and becoming Oleg Davydov. Now he lives permanently in Sweden and refuses interviews and public appearances.
Degi Dudaev is a citizen of Georgia, but lives and works in Lithuania. The general's son founded the company VEO, working in the field of alternative energy. He appears in public more often than his brother and even happens to be on television. In 2012 Degi Dudaev took part in the Georgian show "The Moment of Truth". There, on a lie detector, he confirmed that he does not hate Russians. At the same time, in an interview, he said that he took revenge I would be for my father if I had the opportunity.
In 2014, Degi Dudaev became a participant in a criminal scandal. He was detained at the Lithuanian border with 7 false passports. But Dudayev's intentions were good — the documents were intended for members of the Chechen diaspora who wanted to go to live in the European Union. Then the man got off with just a fine.
Dana Dudayeva and her husband Masud also lived in Lithuania for some time. Then the family moved to Turkey, and from there to Sweden. But in the Scandinavian country there were problems with legalization and they had to leave. It is known that in 2013 Dana lived in Germany, and her husband — in Great Britain.
According to the latest information, Dzhokhar Dudayev has five grandchildren living in different European countries. The former head of Ichkeria had 12 brothers and sisters who were older than him. According to Alla Dudayeva, almost all of them died during the fighting in Chechnya or died later due to natural causes.
