Despite all the achievements of technology and the high professionalism of the studio's animators, the new project is considered difficult and "very fine work". Marina Malygina, a representative of Soyuzmultfilm, shared some details of the work on the continuation of "Well, wait!" with journalists.
In his interview with the correspondents of the newspaper "Gazeta.En" Marina Malygina said that the studio is just planning to start work on the continuation of the cult Soviet cartoon and the other day official permission was received from the management and the first goals were outlined.
At the same time, the representative of the studio emphasizes that there are no developments, concepts or sketches yet. There is no answer yet to the most frequently asked question about who will take part in the work. According to the press secretary of the studio, the creative team of the project has yet to be created and it will happen quite soon.
Nevertheless, an employee of the company is sure that the action of the new cartoon "Well, wait!" will not take place in the Soviet era, as in the series that have already become classic.
For the first time, the chairman of the Board of the film studio Juliana Slashcheva announced plans to continue filming "Well, wait!" at the eighth St. Petersburg Cultural Forum, held from November 14 to 16. The company's top manager promised the audience that Russians will see the new cartoon series in the summer of 2020.
Slashcheva said that the first series will be released in early June, and then it is planned to create another 26 episodes, each of which will be presented to the audience immediately after creation. It is known that the opinion of the Soyuzmultfilm team about the expediency of filming new episodes of the Soviet cartoon is quite ambiguous. In May of this year, the studio's editor-in-chief Sergey Kapkov said that he saw no prospects in the implementation of such a project and that it was better to move forward, offering new things and giving a flight of creative thought.

In addition, Kapkov added that the Wolf for the late 1970s was a bright social element with a negative sign - a parasite, a dandy and a bully. Today, creating such a colorful image that could embody negative phenomena will be a much more difficult task.
The news about the new series of "Well, wait!" caused even less enthusiasm in society. After the release of the frankly disastrous "Return to Prostokvashino", no one believes that Soyuzmultfilm is able to create products worthy of the original "with a soul".
