Chinese resident Su Yun has been dreaming about a dog for many years. Yes, not just about some shepherd or Pekingese, but about a Tibetan mastiff. But puppies of this rare breed are very expensive and the woman could not decide in any way. She was lucky once, or so she thought. Su Yun was offered to buy a small mastiff at a very attractive price and she couldn't resist.

The lover of exotic breeds made a purchase away from home when she went on vacation. At the market, she was offered a large fluffy puppy and told that it was a Tibetan mastiff. Su Yun immediately took out the money and became the owner of a cute animal. The puppy was not too playful, but with an excellent appetite. He, to the joy of the hostess, gained weight very quickly.

The woman lived with the animal side by side for two years until she began to notice something was wrong. Her dog, which should have become an adult by this time, continued to grow. In addition, she increasingly moved on her hind legs and refused to bark. When the animal's weight exceeded 100 kg, Su Yun decided to consult a specialist.

The veterinarian, to whom the woman took the pet, immediately told her that it was not a dog. The doctor "delighted" Su Yun and informed her that she had bought an Asian black bear. It is a rare species listed in the international Red Book and considered endangered.

The animal had to be given to the Wildlife conservation Center of Yunnan Province. There the bear will try to adapt to life in the wild. Yun, of course, was upset, but still believes that she learned the truth in a timely manner. Although black bears do not grow as big as brown bears, they still pose a danger to humans.

The Asian bear has long been considered a valuable animal in China. It is hunted for the sake of bile, which is used in traditional Chinese medicine. On the black market, an adult bear costs several thousand dollars. Cruel dealers buy animals from hunters and keep them in captivity in terrible conditions. A special probe is inserted into the animal's abdominal wall, through which the bile is gradually pumped out of the still-living bear.

Of course, this cannot last long and after a while the animal dies. Despite the red book status of the black bear, the extraction of its bile remains quite a legitimate trade in China. It remains a mystery for what purpose unknown people sold a valuable bear cub to Su Yun instead of a dog.
