It is sad, but the history of mankind is a chronology of wars, persecutions and real genocides. This was enough in The Middle Ages, and enough in the 21st century. The only difference is that people didn't monetize violence very effectively before. No one even suspected that it was possible to get rich on the darkest and most perverted passions of people. Why snuff videos with scenes of pain, violence and murder have become so popular in modern "progressive" society?

There is often confusion with the word "snuff". The fact is that this is also the name of snuff. But this product, banned in some EU countries, is not related to the violent video. Philologists believe that the snuff video got its name due to the slang expression "to snuff". It was used in the 19th century by criminal gangs in London and meant a planned murder. The direct meaning of this combination is "extinguishing the candle".

The pioneer of this creepy genre is considered to be Charles Manson, the leader of the Manson Family sect. It was he who in the 60s was the first to start shooting and collecting real murders. Already in the 70s, snuff became popular among the creative elite. Videos and photos of reprisals inspired the directors of many horror films of those years.

Soon the first maniacs appeared, taking photos and videos of murders and tortures "for memory". But it was still a non-commercial phenomenon. The monetization of snuff videos came along with the internet era. And with the advent of cryptocurrencies, anonymous settlements between the creators of such content and its consumers became possible. The so-called darknet has become a haven for snuff lovers and the choice of videos and photos there is simply huge.

Although the darknet is considered a place of accumulation of snuff, you can find a video of this kind anywhere, even on YouTube. Militants of various radical groups often post videos in which they crack down on victims in the most sophisticated ways. Of course, this content is monitored and deleted, but it is not yet possible to get rid of it completely.

There are hosting companies that specifically do not block shock content for some purpose. Most often, with the help of creepy shots, they show the inhumanity of some groups or movements. This is the only positive aspect of such products — the atrocities should not be forgotten. At the same time, do not forget about the ancient science of manipulating the masses with the help of fakes.

Shooting and distributing snuff videos is an activity that requires great care. There are three types of such content: random video, staged video and real snuff video. As you may have guessed, the last species is considered the most rare and valuable.

Random video is the most common product. It is usually shot randomly and is rarely of good quality. These are recordings from vehicle video recorders, surveillance cameras or mobile gadgets. This also includes recordings made during tortures and executions carried out by Islamic terrorists, drug cartels and Japanese Yakuza.

Staged snuff video is a very broad concept. This can include both naive private improvisations, as well as quite professional and even artistic materials. Creating such a snuff, the authors show violent and often perverted imagination, use makeup, special effects and even computer graphics. Real fans of "tinplate" immediately recognize such videos and they sell extremely poorly.

There is no point in condemning such a video — it's the same as fighting with windmills. It should be understood that this snuff is the same as the horror "Nightmare on Elm Street", which is shown in cinemas. But with a real snuff video, everything is different. The conditions for its creation may be different. It's not always an artistic product. Often the main purpose of shooting is to kill the victim.

A group of 3-4 people is going to shoot a real snuff. They play the role of screenwriters, directors and murderers. Although murder in this case is not an acting game at all, but a terrible reality. The main character of the video, most often a child or a woman, often does not understand what is happening until the very end.

The beginning of the video is quite harmless. A meeting in a cafe or a park, a chance acquaintance and other plots can be played. The victim considers it all a game and has no idea how the shooting will end. It's strange, but there are also those among the victims who deliberately went for it and know the outcome. These are people with mental disorders or severe depression.

Most often, poor lonely people and street orphans get into the networks of criminals. They easily agree to shoot for money, and most importantly - no one is looking for them. Strangely enough, one of the killers sometimes turns out to be a victim — for him it turns out to be an unpleasant surprise.

In the United States, the FBI annually stops dozens of sites that distribute snuff videos. But they grow like mushrooms after the rain. If you or your relatives and friends are offered to star in an action-packed film and are offered to pay well, then this is a reason to be wary.

It is also not recommended to discuss murder videos. Often the creators of such content ask users if they liked the video. It can end badly — the one who left a review becomes a candidate for a role in a bloody movie with a fatal outcome.
