The hands of the representatives of various tribes tell amazing stories. We see, as a profession, occupation and age impose on them its imprint.
"Hands always fascinated me. I think they sum up our way of life. I'm not talking about reading the fate in the palm of your hand and the knowledge of the future of different people. Talking about how the way each of us esperal patterns and shapes our hands.
They are like eyes, they tell about what is hidden beneath the surface. They are a fundamental part of our evolution and survival. Primitive people used them to start fires, hunt, fight and other actions aimed at survival.
Hands — the main part of the body, which helps us to improve skills in all types of production since the beginning of time. The lines on the palm show the hidden truth about our lives. They reveal our struggles, burdens, status, and way of life we chose" — tells about the project Omar Reda.
In a series of pictures, which continues to grow, Reda tried to capture details of people from different countries, with different way of life, representatives of various tribes, villages and cities. "It was not easy to ask people for permission to do these. It was very difficult. Many called me an idiot, crazy, an undercover COP who is trying to get fingerprints, etc." — says the photographer. Omar Reda believes that it's his best series, and one of his favorite shots — the hand of three boys from the Masai tribe (pictured).
