Artist and photographer Lori Nix from Kansas, where tornadoes constantly sweep by, has been drawing inspiration from the inevitable end of the world for a long time. Will it be a flood? Maybe a meteorite? Or a nuclear attack? And what will it look like?

Now Nicks lives in Brooklyn and uses his talent in needlework and photography to offer his answer to these questions. In these amazingly detailed scenes — a flooded power plant, a crumbling laundry, an abandoned library with trees growing through the floor. Each miniature is the size of a dollhouse: 50 × 61 × 183 cm. The artist shoots them on film, and it seems that in fact they are full-size scenes.
