Slava Stepanov reports: Voronezh is the capital of the Chernozem region. The city is located in the south of the European part of Russia, 500 km from Moscow, on the banks of the Voronezh reservoir and the Don River. Voronezh is considered the birthplace of the Russian navy and the Soviet airborne assault. For the first time in the world, serial production of the passenger supersonic aircraft Tu-144 and the first Soviet wide-body aircraft Il-86 was launched in the city.

In 2012, Voronezh became the 15th millionaire city in Russia. In September 2016, Voronezh will celebrate its 430th anniversary.
