Vienna: Mandatory Program

Writes blogger darsik-dasha: Dreams of living at home before this week's trip to London have failed miserably. Every weekend I am carried somewhere again, but I do not complain: last week I was carried around Vienna and, I tell you, it was very pleasant! This is probably the tenth time I've been to Vienna, I have formed my favorite routes and things to do. I want to talk about them using the example of my last trip.

Vienna: Mandatory Program

1. Once again I have already stayed at the 25 hours hotel. I really like it: it is located a two-minute walk from the Ring and the Town Hall, the rooms have a beautiful view of the city, the beds are soft here, the design is pleasant. The only pity is that this time it was not possible to book a bigger and higher room, but the standard rooms, as it turned out, are very good in the hotel. For complete happiness, only a bathrobe and slippers were not enough for me. And it’s also very difficult to put on makeup and get ready in the evening: it gets dark by six, and the artificial light in the room is such that you can come to the restaurant with differently painted eyes. However, I don’t remember a single hotel with normal light, it’s always dark for me.

2. I love it when hotels are located in places where you can immediately walk, and you don’t have to go to the center.

3. I continue to test the new Sony a7r camera, this time with a 16-50 lens. Well ... Zeiss loses a lot to optics, although the camera with it looks really super-compact. In terms of image quality, the a7r is no worse than the a99, and is half the size, almost a soap dish. For those accustomed to large cameras, it may be unusual. Apparently, you have to splurge on a Zeiss lens.

7. The impossible happened on this trip - Pasha agreed to ride me on a horse and ride himself. Moreover, the choice was this - either we go to conduct at the House of Music, or we ride a horse. As a result, we went both there and there, and then Pasha also had to listen to me conducting the Blue Danube and the Radetzky March and also praise me. Well, got married - be patient;) I also have a lot of difficulties, for example, dinners with 11 courses.

8. And yet another bastion fell on this trip - food in the markets. Pasha was always wondering why I love market food, each time he refused to eat at Naschmarkt, but this time we still had a good lunch there at the Nautilus fish restaurant. The oysters were wonderful, the fish soup was excellent, but we didn’t really like the fish plate (rather a tray) for two, I prefer grilled food over fried foods.

30. A little more of the city. It's Sunday morning. The city is given over to tourists during the day, but if you don’t sleep for a long time and go for a walk at nine o’clock, you can find Vienna completely empty, clean and washed.
