3. The plant has a rich history - during the war years it was created by heroic labor literally in the middle of the forest, and later became one of the world's largest tank factories. These tanks are exported everywhere

4. There is a temple near the factory. The abbot told us his story, I'll tell it to you, it's worth it. So, in the late 90s - early 2000s, the plant experienced difficult times. There was no work, there was nothing to pay wages. Then the head of the plant decided to build a temple. The factory workers were outraged that the rest of the funds went not to pay salaries to people, but to build a temple. But as soon as the temple began to be built, God's miracle happened: suddenly India ordered a lot of tanks. And the plant rose again. The temple is decorated with frescoes. This one shows a burning Reichstag, beaten Nazis (or our fallen heroes?), As well as tanks

5. We visited two museums - the Museum of Tanks and the Museum of History, climbed the tanks, took pictures. The tanks are beautiful, but I'll post pictures of the tanks another time, but today we'll talk about art. Leaving, I noticed a brochure about the plant, which, among other facts, mentioned that Uralvagonzavod collects paintings, in particular, he has a painting by Kuindzhi “Night on the Dnieper”. Well, the one with the luminous moon, you know. Berezin and I were surprised - isn't she in the Tretyakov Gallery? And how did you get to UVZ, and how to watch it? It turned out that Kuindzhi had six such paintings, and UVZ was engaged in the evacuation of paintings during the war years, and somehow agreed with the CPSU Central Committee to purchase one for the factory club. They didn’t show her to us - they say she is now in some kind of storeroom. But it turned out by chance that an exhibition of contemporary artists (not local, mostly Muscovites and St. Petersburg) called "Presidents of Russia" is taking place within the walls of the plant right now. We asked to show us this miracle without fail, and the miracle was shown to us. A room full of contemporary paintings was opened for us. Check it out. For example - A. Vygalov "B. Yeltsin", "V. Putin", "D. Medvedev" - oil on canvas, 2012
