In it, she talks about the beginning of her career and about the facts that fashion designers prefer to hide.
Giselle paid special attention to the occasion that almost forced her to leave the podium forever. In 1998, during the Alexander McQueen show, the girl was not given a top to her skirt, it was simply painted on her bare chest. As a result, the model walked the runway almost topless, crying before that in the dressing room.

The memoirs of the model are called "Lessons: my path to a conscious life." In it, the mother of two children recalls her past, philosophizes and tells the whole truth about the modeling business, which "chewed her up".
In particular, she pays special attention to the events during the Alexander McQueen Spring/summer show in 1998, which became her first international fashion show.
It was a rather frank and pretentious collection of clothes, in which there were many elements with erotic overtones.
The girl recalls that no one really prepared her for going on the podium: the costumer just brought three sets of clothes, and the makeup artist applied a thick make-up, after which she was simply pushed onto the stage.
According to the designer's idea, 18-year-old Giselle had to walk down the catwalk "without a top". Her entire outfit consisted of a skirt and a sling.
At the moment when McQueen chose Giselle among many other applicants, she was incredibly happy. But I couldn't bring myself to go out in public naked.
She cried and asked to cancel her performance, but the fashion designer was relentless. The photo shows traces of tears on the girl's face.
Giselle remembers that moment with sadness, noting how disappointed she was in the modeling business then.
It was quite dark in the room with the podium, so no one noticed the trick. And artificial rain, which complemented the entourage of the show, helped to hide traces of leaking makeup.
An interesting fact is that the 1998 Alexander McQueen show was the beginning of the take-off of the professional career of Giselle, a Brazilian model who at that time did not even speak English very well.
The provocative bow of the model made a real sensation. The perfection of the form, the integrity of the image – critics highly appreciated the merits of young Giselle.
It should also be noted that since that moment body-art has been used quite often on the catwalk, including world-famous fashion designers.
Giselle's book contains many revelations about her personal life, including about the situation with her husband Tom Brady. Recall that he was at the center of a scandal when it turned out that he had a child with his ex during his marriage to Giselle.
