"There is no adblock on you!": the artist imagined what life would look like without advertising

Spanish photographer Jose Perez Higuera imagined what the world would look like without advertising: with the help of a photo editor, he removed all banners, signs and advertisements from streets and highways, leaving clean canvases in their place.

The project is called Public Spaces — the artist deliberately chose a multi-valued combination that can mean both "public space" and "public spaces".

As an epigraph to his work , Jose quotes the French journalist Robert Guerin:

"There is no adblock on you!": the artist imagined what life would look like without advertising

Meanwhile, advertisers are constantly finding new places and coming up with even more aggressive tricks in order to capture our attention. And all this is at the expense of our public space.

And we don't offer any resistance. It's time to change that and get rid of the invasion of our privacy."

Jose Perez Higuera
