Such pictures are a real artistic analogue of a time machine, since the passage of time is especially clearly visible on them.
Time runs inexorably fast, and sometimes we don't even notice how the world around us is changing. But it's so interesting… Some changes go unnoticed. But if you compare the same places now and a few decades ago, you can be very surprised. And what will happen if you rewind the calendar a century ago!
To track the changes, the OldPhotosInRealLife subreddit was created. Its participants post comparison photos that show the impact of time on buildings, tourist attractions and nature. In most places, the course of life has left an indelible imprint. See for yourself by scrolling through below.
