Among his models are such stars as Yasmin Ghauri, Claudia Schiffer, Monica Bellucci, Melania Trump. Regardless of how dressed the women are in his pictures, they always radiate bliss and restrained sensuality.
Bruno Bisang was born in Switzerland in 1952. He spent his childhood and youth in Ascona, a small town on the shores of the picturesque Lake Maggiore at the foot of the Alps. As a teenager, Bisang was a fan of French and Italian cinema and the actress Sophia Loren. This is what prompted him to turn his attention to art after finishing school.
The guy entered the School of Applied Arts in Zurich, where he studied photography. Bisang began his career as a professional photographer in 1979. He shot in Zurich, Milan and Munich. Despite his profession, he is still “in love” with cinematography and most of his works look like stills from films.
One of the important areas of Bruno Bisang's work has become advertising photography. The master collaborates with Avon, Azzaro, Bacirubati, Breil, Cacharel, Cartiere del Garda, Chanel, Ford, Givenchy, Yamaha, Heineken. His works have graced the pages of Air France Madame, Cosmopolitan, GQ, Max, Men's Health, Amica, L'Officiel, Sport Magazine, Vogue and many others for three decades.
Bisang shoots on film and digital cameras, but also loves working with Polaroid. His series of photos, “Polaworld,” which captures celebrities in seductive images, has been delighting photo connoisseurs around the world for years. It is the photos from this collection that we invite you to evaluate.
Do you think Polaroid photography still has potential or is it just nostalgia?
