In pursuit of beauty, many women lose their sense of proportion. They resort to plastic surgery and even artisanal methods, trying to get closer to their ideal. Sometimes they like the result, but cause confusion among others. But it also happens that the new image turns out to be truly monstrous. This is exactly what happened to South Korean singer Hang Mioku, who became addicted to “beauty injections.”

The story of Hang Mioku - a woman who, in pursuit of beauty, turned herself into a monster

Hang Mioku was a famous singer and beautiful girl in South Korea. Following fashion, she began making silicone injections under the skin of her face. Mioku believed that they would help preserve her beauty and youth. At first, Hang turned to plastic surgeons. But then the doctors began to refuse the girl, as her face had greatly enlarged, and the injections turned into an unhealthy mania.

When no doctor wanted to deal with Mioku anymore, she began giving herself injections. Instead of silicone, the singer injected vegetable oil under her skin, mistakenly believing that it had similar properties. After several procedures, her face became very swollen, and Hang, afraid, stopped the experiments.

When the singer returned home to South Korea after the end of her contract, her parents did not recognize her. Hang Mioku's face swelled up like a balloon. It was shiny and took on an unhealthy bluish tint. Oddly enough, the singer herself considered herself irresistible and was pleased with the changes in appearance that had occurred.

At home, Mioku again faced refusals from doctors. Then she again resorted to the proven vegetable oil. The woman was able to stop only when her face completely lost its human features and turned into a monstrous mask. Realizing that we were talking about a mental disorder, Hang went to the clinic. There she told doctors that in recent years, voices in her head forced her to give injections to her face.

After undergoing treatment, the singer got rid of her disorder. But her face looked terrible and required plastic surgery. Mioku had not been able to perform for a long time, and there was no money for treatment. The woman turned to television and became a participant in a reality show. Spectators raised 27 million won for the unfortunate woman’s surgery.

Hang Mioku became a regular at television studios and, thanks to this, underwent 10 operations. Surgeons were able to remove 60 grams of vegetable oil and silicone from her face and 200 grams from her neck. Unfortunately, there was no talk of returning beauty. The purpose of the operations was to restore some facial functions. Before the intervention, Hang’s mouth could not close, and her entire face was in excruciating pain.

Hang Miok is now 58 years old. Her appearance remains terrible, but at least she is not in physical pain. The woman does not hide her face, but on the contrary, actively participates in television projects. The woman tells her story and warns her compatriots against excessive addiction to plastic surgery. Unfortunately, in South Korea there is a real boom in plastic surgery and they begin to do it almost from school.
