The story of Gunther the dog, who inherited the mistress's millions, turned out to be a fake

The German Shepherd Gunther VI has become the hero of publications many times. News from the life of a dog who inherited millions from an eccentric countess has always been generously illustrated with photos. On them, the dog basked in the sun by the pool, strolled through luxurious interiors or played with a ball on a thoroughly trimmed English lawn. But recently it turned out that the story of the millionaire dog is nothing more than fiction.

Gunther IV was presented as the sole heir to the millions of the German Countess Calotte Liebenstein. News from the dog's life constantly irritated those who were unlucky in the family with rich aristocrats. Gunther then bought a mansion that once belonged to pop diva Madonna, then sold it and moved to a new, even more pretentious one.

At the same time, the years passed, and the millionaire dog did not even think to stop. Some people did not even notice that the stories of dog life described the lives of two generations of Gunters over the past 20 years. Gunther III received the inheritance in 1992 and handed it over to the now living Gunther IV. According to the Countess's will, the eldest male puppy from the litter became the heir. The rest of the offspring of a noble family were not so lucky and, as is usually the case, they went to their new owners.

The family nest of the Gunters was located in Tuscany, in Italy. In addition, there were also mansions in the USA, like the Madonna house. They were bought as promising investments in real estate. Of course, even the smartest dog in the world would not be able to manage capital, so all transactions were carried out by the Gunther Foundation, that is, trusted people.

I must say that the fund's experts knew their business and bought houses when their price was minimal. They sold them as profitably as possible, multiplying the already solid condition of the dog. Every news about the next deal caused a resonance in the press and a special activity of the chorus of envious people.

But the latest publication about Gunther infuriated everyone. It was not made by a representative of an investor dog, but by an Associated Press journalist. One day the dog's story seemed suspicious to him and he began an independent investigation. It was not without difficulty that the truth was found. It turned out that the millionaire Maurizio Mian, the heir to a large pharmaceutical company, was behind the epic with the sheepdogs.

The rich man has been using the legend of the Gunters for many years in order to sell mansions faster and more profitably. Mian has his own real estate agency, which is very prosperous. As for the shepherd dynasty, it simply never existed. Different dogs, similar to each other, acted as "numbered" Gunters. The last time the role of a successful dog was played by the pet of Maurizio's former mistress.

What did the millionaire get from a prolonged prank? It's simple — information about Gunther's sale of another mansion instantly flew around the largest media on the planet. Buyers did not take long to wait and paid more than could be expected with a normal sale. Advertising worked flawlessly and was completely free for the cunning Mian. Now, of course, it's all over.
