Janos Sztekowicz is a Hungarian photographer and publisher from Germany. He took these photos of the twin brothers on their farm in the 1980s. The Lukash twins were 63 years old when the photographer visited their village. Janos and Istvan lived in the Hungarian region of Pushta and owned a lot of paired things: two bicycles, two sheep capes, two carts, as well as the same clothes that they used to wear for two decades. All their lives they have lived on their land 5 km from the nearest paved road, and it was quite difficult to get to them. They didn't smoke, they didn't drink, they raised cattle. They had a well, but there was no electricity, and they didn't need it.
