Its population is about 180,000 people, so the idea of photographer Chris Porsche looked complicated, but not quite utopian. In the 1980s, he photographed people on the streets of his hometown, and a few decades later decided to find them again. So the project "Reunion" appeared. It remains to add that Chris is not a professional photographer, in ordinary life he is an ambulance paramedic. And that makes the pictures even more interesting, doesn't it?

1980 and 2009. Tony and Sally.
22-year-old Tony, a teacher, is leaving for Essex. 21-year-old Sally remains waiting. A year later, the couple got married, now they have two children, who are 20 years old themselves. Tony became the headmaster of the school. The couple had no idea that they had been photographed until they saw the picture in the local newspaper along with the search ad.
1980 and 2016. Sandra.
Sandra visited this barbershop in 1980, as it was inexpensive and a good master worked here. The former economy barber shop has now turned into a premium salon.

In the first photo, Tina is 18. In the 90s, the couple left to travel. They have twin children, but now they are no longer together. Tina is engaged in the production of willow products and conducts workshops on weaving, and the Great Dane is engaged in gardening.

Sisters Anna and Emma (11 and 13 years old) were waiting for their mother, having fun inflating bubbles from chewing gum "Hubba Bubba". After 32 years, I had to work hard to restore the skill.

Les continues to work as a gardener at Peterborough Cathedral.

Five-year-old Donna and three-year-old Steve are eating ice cream in front of their house. Two years later, the family moved, and when Donna returned here in 2015, she was surprised that not much had changed in so many years

Chris's family — Leslie, Simon, Adam, Emma — in Peterborough Central Park

At the age of 17, Jennifer worked on Saturdays as a fruit seller at the market, now she is a civil servant. She has two children

Steve Osborne was known as Metal Mickey in the 1980s, when he broke both legs several times in a series of motorcycle accidents and plates and bolts were inserted into them. He said: "I continued to ride even with my leg in a cast!"

They still live in Peterborough and meet regularly.

Students of the same gymnasium. Now they do not communicate, and the gymnasium has become a shelter.

Neil was the "pied piper from Peterborough", always walked with a flute and delighted passersby with beautiful melodies. Although not so long ago Neil was photographed for the project "Reunion", now he is nowhere to be found

30 years later — postman, electrician, IKEA employee, official

17-year-old Richard worked as a butcher. Now he is an entertainer, and the butcher shop has become a cafe

Punk Badger still remembers winning a pizza eating contest at Peterborough Cathedral Square. Now he has five children, he lives in Somerset and builds highways

Brother and sister are sitting in a stroller waiting for their parents. Now Rose is a housewife with three children, Stuart is a policeman, he has two children

Scotsman Michael Ross, affectionately called Nobby, lived at a bus stop in Peterborough for ten years after his house burned down. After the project "Reunion" he became famous, a play was written about him, and there is a group dedicated to him on Facebook
