Having learned it, you will look at the spectacular performances of "mermaids" a little differently, more precisely, more carefully. The athlete said that one of the keys to success in this sport can be considered... unshaven legs.

Alla Shishkina frankly told her Instagram followers that a week before the competition, athletes stop doing hair removal in order to better navigate in the water. The role of leg hair in the performances of the champion described quite clearly, without hiding anything:

The hairs move under the influence of water and thanks to this, the synchronists feel at what height they are above the water level. Alla said that there are five reference points in her sport: the middle of the thigh, above the knee, below the knee, the middle of the shin and the ankle.

Clean-shaven legs significantly worsen the interaction of athletes with the water environment, preventing them from accurately positioning themselves in the water. For the sake of an excellent result, you can "walk like a bear for a week," Shishkina writes in her post.

The athlete draws the attention of her readers to the fact that in the photos and videos on her page, it is clearly visible that all the girls appear so synchronously above the water that they can be checked with a ruler.

So be sure that every sport has its own secret "chips" that we don't know about. Champions often reveal the secrets of their nutrition and training, they can even share the details of their intimate life, but they are reluctant to part with professional secrets, and even such piquant ones.
