Firstly, they are distinguished by a special color scheme, with a predominance of red and purple tones. And secondly, Weldon has a special sense of humor. His paintings can bring a smile to the most serious viewer.

Casey Weldon was born in Southern California and educated at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. After completing his studies, he moved to Las Vagas, Nevada and opened a studio there. After working for a while in the city of Sin, where he was mainly involved in design and advertising, Weldon moved to a more creative location - New York.

Weldon now lives and works in Brooklyn. He is engaged not only in painting, but also in music. For one of his compositions called Black Camaro, he even drew a full-fledged animated video.

Casey Weldon's paintings boldly combine humor with contemporary pop culture iconography. Therefore, the artist calls his style post-pop surrealist and considers himself the only classic of this direction.

Like most normal people, Weldon loves cats. No, he just loves them! This becomes clear from his paintings, the lion's share of which are dedicated to these animals.

It must be said that the master of post-pop surrealism is quite free with the images of cats. They appear in the most unusual incarnations, sometimes completely crazy.

If you love cats as much as Casey Weldon, you'll also appreciate Malaysian illustrator Kamwei Fong's gel pen drawings.
