"The image of the earthly Paradise" the beach US history in color

The set of associations of the "American dream" certainly includes the endless beaches of California and Florida where it's always warm, Sunny and fun. Now beautiful beach views hardly a surprise, but how cool it looked on the excellent color photographs of many decades ago!
