Of course, they try to adapt to their owners, but in general they like to do their cat things at night. And one cat owner from Bangkok, Thailand wanted to know about these nocturnal feline adventures. That's why he installed a camera to capture the antics of his pet while he was sleeping. As a result, he managed to capture some pretty cute shots in which his furry friend watches his sleeping owner.
This guy from Bangkok set up a camera to watch his cat a little at night.
A Facebook user named Lomphonten Lomphontan uploaded to the Thai Facebook group "Cat Lovers Club" ("Cat Lovers Club") night pictures of his cat, in which she watches him sleeping. And as you can see, he managed to make some pretty clear and funny shots.
It is known from history that cats are descendants of the African wildcat — basically a nocturnal animal. After their domestication, they began to stay awake more and more during the day, but despite this, most cats will still wake up at least twice a night ... this is what you can see in the photographs taken by a Thai.
Note that this Facebook user is not the only one who became interested in what cats do at night. Researchers from The University of Georgia installed small cameras on 55 cats in Atlanta, after which they studied their behavior for more than 37 hours. As a result, the study showed that, like their ancestors, 44% of street cats hunted other wild animals, 85% of these outings fell during the warm season.
Regardless of whether they are indoors or outdoors, you've probably heard cats screaming at night. This noise can be caused by a number of reasons: old age, stress, health problems or just boredom (this happens especially in domestic cats, who more often lead a passive lifestyle, which is why they have a lot of unspent energy).
If your cat prevents you from sleeping at night, then, firstly, try to exhaust her with games before going to bed, or, secondly, just feed her, which will also relax her and help her fall asleep.
It is important to note that no matter how much your cat loves you, she can easily unintentionally injure you at night, so if this has already happened, it is better to leave her outside the bedroom before going to bed.
