We will not tell you the plot of the film, but we will still share something interesting. Below are 7 interesting facts about the film.

The film is based on the television series The Equalizer (1985-1989). The TV project was so successful that people on the street approached the leading man, Edward Woodward, and asked him to help - not as an actor, but as a "former secret agent." However, the creators of the full-length tape claim that the film and the series are united only by the idea and the title.
Director Antoine Fuqua does not only make films: he has repeatedly worked with brands such as Nike, Armani and Pirelli to create commercials. His campaigns have been awarded various awards, and a special, in a good sense, "advertising" style is guessed in the staging of movie scenes.
The 59-year-old actor Denzel Washington performed almost all the fight scenes on his own. Moreover, as conceived by screenwriter Richard Wenk, the main character Robert McCall does not carry weapons: he can simply enter the room, instantly assess the situation and fight with whatever comes to hand.
The role of the prostitute Terry was originally written for an older actress, but Chloe Moretz impressed the director so much that the role was rewritten for her.
In preparation for filming, Chloe contacted the Children of the Night organization: its employees help American women in trouble. The actress was able not only to communicate with these girls, but also to draw attention to the activities of the organization.
In some episodes of the film, Russian music is played: for example, in the scene of a visit to the lair of Russian mafiosi, a slightly modified song by the Russian rapper Seryoga “King of the Ring” plays in the background.
The idea of one of the most brutal fighting scenes belongs to director Antoine Fuqua. He specifically met with a friend who knows a lot about the criminal world, and asked to talk about the rules of street fighting. He put a bunch of objects on the table, took out a corkscrew from them and showed a couple of tricks. For a more realistic staging of fight scenes, the director also met with professional boxers. It was through these conversations that he realized that it was necessary to slow down the pace a little in the fight scenes.
Despite the fact that such a film genre has traditionally received lukewarm reviews from film critics, The Great Equalizer received more than 70% of positive reviews and was described by Empire as "unexpectedly intriguing".
