Its main attraction — the pavilion Kitchen Charuhas. It was built by king Chulalongkorn (aka Rama V) in 1890, when he visited this place and fell in love with its beauty.
Later the cave was also visited by the king Prajadipok (Rama VII) and the current king of Thailand Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX).
In the main cave, on the wall are signatures and Rama V and Rama VII.
The cave can be reached on foot from the beach, Laem Sala inside the Park.
The path up the hill leads to a cave, and it's pretty steep and hard. The long journey – about 430 meters, but along the way there are several stops for rest where you can rest and enjoy views of the sea below.
Actually Phraya Nakhon are two sinkholes that have collapsed roof. The cave lights the sun, especially in the morning. This is the best time for a visit to the cave. The cave was named for Phraya Nakon the ruler of Nakhon si Thammarat province , who accidentally found the cave over 200 years ago when his ship the storm came ashore.
