At least 3 lives were taken by two explosions at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
Improvised explosive devices were detonated at the finish line of Boston's oldest marathon on Goodwill Street on Monday. As a result of the explosions, which thundered at 02:50 minutes on the east coast of the United States with an interval of 12 seconds, three people were killed, including an eight-year-old child. According to preliminary information, more than 140 people were injured.
The bombings were the first terrorist attack on US soil since the 2001 al-Qaeda attack on the World Trade Center Twin Towers, the Pentagon and the White House, which killed nearly 3,000 people.
