Tern Inca - a bird with a mustache
Categories: Animals
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/tern-inca-a-bird-with-a-mustache1.htmlMeet the Inca Tern, one of the most interesting birds in the world. She is interesting, as you can already see, in that she has an excellent mustache. This bird lives along the Pacific coast from northern Peru to central Chile. She can be easily recognized by her dark gray body, red-orange beak and paws and, of course, a delightful white mustache. Unfortunately, the number of these birds is rapidly declining due to the loss of nesting sites. There are about 150,000 of them left, and they are in the category of "close to an endangered species."
