Karl sketches in every detail each of the 69 cities of the UK, and the photographer takes his work on camera. Each image takes up to three months: you need to conduct research, study the map and draw all the details, and then the authors of the project put the work in public access.
The map of Birmingham, made in September 2016, was first exhibited at the local art gallery BM & AG, but soon this work will move to another place. Images of Manchester and Edinburgh are in the central libraries of these cities.
The last finished map shows the Scottish city of Dundee, and she will spend the first six months at the local McManus Gallery. The three-meter-long map took three months and more than 100 pencils.
