It seems that we all love to get scared, see things that make us jump, and generally open up to the darker side of life. There have been some really good contemporary horror films that have gone unnoticed. Chief among these are the short horror films, which alleviate our fears in fewer minutes than conventional feature films.

1. I heard it too.
It comes from director Matt Sears. “I Heard Too” is a masterpiece filled with awe and chills. The main story is about a young girl named Stephanie who wakes up one night and hears her mother calling her from below. She leaves the bedroom to find out what her mother wants, but on the landing, she is grabbed by her real mother! After telling his daughter, "I heard that too," the film sends viewers on a chilling quest to find out who or what is really downstairs. From start to finish, this film is captivating and keeps you guessing.
2. Jester.
Released in 2016, this movie is little known but has attracted enough fans to get two sequels. Many people still have not seen this original, which is a pity. From director Colin Crouchak, this is arguably the simplest horror movie on our list. One Halloween night, a man comes home late and finds a strange man in a jester mask waiting outside his house. The jester offers to show the man a few tricks and does not leave until he agrees. This turns out to be a real bug as the stunts get more and more creepy! The man is finally trying to break free from the clutches of the Jester, but it's not so easy!
3. Smiling person.
This film is terribly remembered for the terrible creature present in it. It's fair to say that this terrifying creature is one of the most impressive contemporaries of recent horror. There is something about the eyes, teeth, and gaze that stays with you for a long time after that. Add to that the excellent acting and writing of this film, and it is definitely worth a look.
4. Larry.
If you think your work is bad, think about the character Joe in this movie. He works as a night watchman in a car park and absolutely hates what he does. One night, bored and lonely, Joe decides to turn on the old tablet, which he finds in a chest with lost things. On this tablet, he finds Larry's story. It looks like Larry is a depressed monster who roams the earth in search of his best friend. After reading this, Joe begins to see figures and hear movement in the parking lot near his booth! Fearing that Larry will come to him, Joe must decide what to do next. The main reason this movie is so good is because of the claustrophobic setting that sets the right tone. Because the whole story takes place in Insider Joe's cockpit, viewers really know how he feels.
