In 2016, the girl and her parents found out that the disease was in its last stage.
And then Hannah's classmates, teachers and family jointly arranged a magical night for her. Moreover, according to the director of the school, the graduation date was postponed especially for the girl.

Hannah underwent an intensive and grueling course of chemotherapy. It would seem that the treatment worked, but after five months the cancer returned.
"She is very ill. She is currently undergoing palliative therapy (moral support for terminally ill patients), and the medical team has achieved excellent results."
Hannah was escorted to graduation by professional rugby player Trent Hodkinson, who plays for the Newcastle Knights team. They met in 2015 during Hodkinson's charity work at the Children's Hospital. Hannah is an ardent fan of Trent's team, and he dedicated all the points earned during the matches to the girl.
Hodkinson said that the evening went well. As soon as she and Hannah arrived at the place, her classmates began to cheer her up — they were happy that she was able to come.
"I didn't expect it to be so great. I went on a date not at all for recognition or popularity, I sincerely wanted it, I really enjoyed the evening. This is important for Hannah and her family. She's been smiling all evening, she's so strong."
The theme of the graduation is cherry blossom, as Hannah loves Japanese culture and art. Her classmates made a thousand paper cranes.
The director of the school shared that everyone took part in the organization because "it's all for Hannah's sake, so that she has good memories."
At the end of graduation, Hannah Rai said she didn't want the evening to end.
