15-year-old Hannah Rye, a student at Kurri Kurri High School in the Hunter region in the Australian state of New South Wales, was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma (a rare type of cancer affecting mainly long tubular bones) in October 2015. In 2016, the girl and her parents found out that the disease was in its last stage.
