Students from India face jail, and all because of flip-flops for cheating

For example, recently in India, 25 students were "caught" at once, who tried to pass the exam with the help of flip-flops for cheating. And although it sounds funny, but the students themselves are clearly not joking. For trying to deceive the education system, they face a real prison sentence!

Cheating on exams in India has always been an acute problem. Once residents of the Indian state of Bihar could watch the scene as people climbed the walls of the school. They wanted to hand out cheat sheets to students who took the annual exams. A couple of years later, another high-profile case happened in the same state. Then the military forced the students to take exams in their underwear so that no one would cheat.

This time the authorities went even further. They shut down the internet connection in the entire state. And all so that especially inventive students could not "Google" the answers on the exam. However, the students were not a blunder! They bought themselves special flip-flops for cheating.

At first glance, these are ordinary shoes. However, a mobile phone is hidden inside it, and Bluetooth headphones are included. With their help, students could contact friends sitting on the "other end of the wire" and ask them for an answer to the required ticket.

The teachers became suspicious when they noticed that some students were talking to themselves during the exam. As a result, the police conducted another search and found high-tech flip-flops on 25 students.

As it turned out, students bought these flip-flops from representatives of local criminal groups for 8 thousand dollars per pair (which is more than 580 thousand rubles)! At the same time, according to preliminary estimates, it took no more than 30 thousand rubles to develop this device. The inventors noticed an increased demand for slippers and immediately inflated the price of shoes.

It is noteworthy that after this incident, applicants at all other testing points were forced to take off their shoes at the entrance. Students who are caught red-handed now face jail, as in India, an attempt to cheat during exams is regarded as a crime.
