The so-called “dance of the wasp” can also be considered the oldest prototype of striptease - a girl wrapped in a shawl moved to the music, imitating shaking out a wasp entangled in clothes. During the dance, the clothes unfolded, exposing the dancer.

The inhabitants of the ancient Greek polis of Corinth were taught the "science of frank dance" in special schools, where, along with mathematics and music, they were taught this skill.
