"I love painting the bellies of expectant mothers. It always causes delight, — the artist shares her impressions. — For mothers, this is a wonderful experience, as they feel more relaxed and in unity with the child. I also had it when I was expecting a baby, and I can imagine the happiness and pleasure that drawing on my stomach brings," says Fatima. Her daughter Ainoa was born last year.

Fatima has been doing body art for 14 years, but with the growing popularity of drawings on the bellies of pregnant women, the artist decided out of curiosity to try herself in this direction. However, when she started doing this, at first women did not take such an initiative very warmly. "I have been doing body art for more than 14 years and have always wanted to try to paint a pregnant woman's belly. I have seen such drawings, but no one here understood this kind of art and did not try to do it. Then I wanted to paint the belly of my sister, who was waiting for triplets, but she felt bad and could not participate. Later, a friend came to me, and after that my business started."

Now, when the trend is gaining momentum, Fatima gets great pleasure from her work. She says, "It's great to see women coming to me for this experience. Although I recommend expectant mothers to paint their belly between the sixth and eighth months of pregnancy, when it is most pleasant, many come already in the second or third month and use this as a way to announce pregnancy to their family and friends."

Fatima draws birds, adorable puppies, cute baby faces and even three-dimensional glowing ornaments. "All mothers are different, and each has its own taste, hobbies and stories. Some offer an already thought-out design, while others ask me to offer their ideas. If they need inspiration, I make a sketch, provide them with images, and as soon as they choose something, on the appointed day I start working on body art on my stomach and make a drawing in two hours," the artist explains.

The woman says that she uses only proven paints that are safe for the skin. "Basically, I use makeup for body art on a water basis, it's like watercolor paints for the body, so expectant mothers feel comfortable and it's not harmful to the skin. All products are tested by manufacturers and have never caused any problems."

She adds: "The most amazing moment in the work is to see a child kicking! The baby can feel the energy from the mother, and the touch of the brush is an excellent stimulator of the receptors, so it is quite natural that the child kicks during the session. This is probably the best thing to see."
