Sony will release a movie about the superhero plus-size

You won't surprise anyone with a superhero woman anymore, but what about a superheroine in the image of a charming pampushka? Sony Pictures has taken up the adaptation of a comic book about a girl named Faith, who saves the world from crime under the pseudonym Zephyr.

The main character Faith Herbert is a charming beauty in the body. She has a cheerful disposition, loves science fiction, pop culture and has telekinesis.

During the day she works as a journalist on a popular website, and at night she transforms into a thunderstorm of the criminal world and the hope of the whole city — the superhero Zephyr.

Faith's character is a step towards making superheroes more inclusive. Men are not always mountains of muscles, and women do not so often have a wasp waist and the appearance of models.

Faith is not like that at all. Comic book fans first saw her in 1992 as a member of the Harbinger team from Valiant Publishing. The girl with the shapes quickly won the hearts of fans and in 2010 became the main character of her own comic book series.

Faith can fly, well, and move objects with her eyes in her "field".

The script for the film will be written by the cool Hollywood author Maria Melnik, who worked on the TV series "Black Sails" and "American Gods". The names of the producers are also known — these are Toby Jaffe, Neil H. Moritz and Dan Mintz. The director has not yet been chosen for filming.

Sony signed a deal on the adaptation of comic books by Valiant in 2015. In addition to the film about the curvy beauty, it is planned to shoot a picture about the entire Harbinger superhero team, and a film adaptation of the comic book "Bloody Shot" with Vin Diesel is also being discussed.
