In 1942, the girl moved to Zurich, and from there in 1948 moved to the United States in search of Hollywood fame. She got into the variety show Can Can Follies Theater, and then began acting in films and for magazine covers.
Sira Marti is known as the most frequently photographed woman from Switzerland in the 1940s. In 1951, the foreign press, which wrote about Hollywood, recognized her as the most beautiful actress after Greta Garbo. She interacted with celebrities such as Gregory Peck, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.
Among the films featuring Sira Marti are Edge of Hell (1956), Fanny Hill (1964) and Fingerprints Don't Lie (1951).
In 1977, after the death of her husband and manager Elmer Frick, Sira Marty stopped appearing in public. Shortly before her death, Swiss director Roger Buergler made a documentary about her, Syra Marty - Dächli Leni goes to Hollywood, after the premiere of which the actress had to move to a nursing home. However, on February 3, 2011, she died at the age of 89 at her home in Florida.
